News about Model Airplane Secrets

It's over six weeks since my last newsletter.  When I started out and mentioned an 'irregular' newsletter even I wasn't expecting to be so late.  But life has got in the way as usual and held things up.  So this newsletter is going to be short and sweet just so I can stop feeling guilty.

First off was the site re-design.  I hope you like the new look and improved navigation.  All the article and Newsletter pages are now linked together making it easier for visitors to navigate and for me to complete new pages.

Second problem was that I moved from one shopping cart to another.  'Shopping cart' may not mean much to you but it's the software behind the website that keeps all the subscription lists and enables a website to act like a regular shop.  You will have noticed before that I am no great whizz with this internet technology so it was no surprise when things went wrong.  It's taken me far too long to sort out but hopefully we are back on the rails again.

Good news for John Baade, the winner of the long overdue October free RC trainer.  Yes, John, if you're reading this, the email asking for your mailing address was real – you really have won a completely free RC trainer.  But I need you to get in touch!

More good news is that among all the technology mayhem I have just done a deal with the producer of DVD videos which he produces each year about the flying season of the Large Models Association in UK.  These are just the most fantastic models that will be of interest to everyone.  If all goes well I will hope to have those available in the new year.  These are very well produced, hour long DVDs showing all the best models (and flying) from the whole season.

Model Airplane Discounts

The holiday season will soon be upon us, whatever faith you may be.  I'm sorry I don't have time to detail all the new products that are in the Discount shop so I'm just going to leave the same two models up as I recommended in the last letter.

There's lots of choice but these are proven winners as trainers for starting out and you can't do better.  Whether it is a gift for someone else or you are just going to treat yourself…

There's a great website that Hobbico put up dedicated to this airplane at http://www.hobbiconexstar.com/. They've put a lot of effort into this package.  It comes pretty well fully assembled including the engine and radio installation and complete with a mini version of Great Planes Flight Simulator package on CD so you can learn to fly on the simulator (they recommend minimum 20 take-offs and landings before you try to fly the real thing).

So you're getting flight simulator software, a completely assembled airplane and a full 4 channel radio setup for the one price.

I can't tell you any more than they can – read the reviews…then if you want to buy then go to Model Airplane Discounts for the special price.
